naninkansas
I want to try making a batch of soap in my crockpot. I feel pretty comfortable with trying the HP method. I keep seeing CPHP though and I don't know if this is the same or a different way, and if different why one over the other?I hope that makes sense. eugenia
HP means hot process, which can be a few ways. Oven Hot Process (OHP) Double Boiler Hot Process (DBHP) and Crockpot Hot Process (CPHP).HTH,e
naninkansas
So CPHP is the same as HP, just means made from the start in a crockpot? That makes sense. I was trying to read the CPHP as cold process hot process and thinking it was a mix of the two.

But CP looks a whole lot better. sometimes anyway
naninkansas
Thank you both for clarifying this. All these abbreviations! LOL I think that Soaper's have a language of their own!! :rolleyes2 I'm working on it though. The post at the top with the list of abbreviations has helped immensely.I'm going to try this crockpot soap later today. It may not be as pretty, but I want soap I can use and NOT have to wait.I've made 2 batches of CP and it's killing me that I can't use them yet!!! Brat
I love my CPHP. Just remember to slam them mold a LOT to get the air bubbles out. That'll make it nice and smoooooooooth where it's touching the mold! (or liner lol)
