cozyaromas Posted October 15, 2005 Share Posted October 15, 2005 I think I am finally ready to make a soy container candle, but first I want to make sure I have the right wax and wicks for an 16 oz apothecary jar.Are these items okay:10lbs of 100% Kosher hydrogenated flaked soy wax.RRD 47 cotton & RRD 50 wicks-6 inch wicks for containersAny suggestions will be appreciated, thanks in advance for anyone's help!!! Carriegsxr6 Posted October 15, 2005 Share Posted October 15, 2005 Well you wont be able to wick a 16oz apothy jar with one RRD 47 or RRD 50 or even RRD 55. I have to use two RRD 29s or 34s in my 10oz apothys. :embarasse You may need a different wick. I havent used the 16oz, but i know they are the same in diamerter as the 10oz.
