sed8ed
Ive been experimenting with color and thus far have been unsuccessful in acheiving a true black. I've tried the color chips and that didn't get the results I expected. So I switched to the liquid dye and I can get a true black but then it stinks like dye. No fancy wax recipe just 1 pound 1343 a teaspoon of releasant powder. the recomended dose of peaks uv inhibitor and FO, thats it. Please help. Thanks,Tracey
Stella1952
Tracey, not all liquids smell bad... I use the ones from JBN - no odor - and am able to produce a reasonably black black, especially for veggie wax.
TwinMom
I had to make black and I mean black votives for a wedding. I used liquid dye from Voyageur Soap and Candle and it didnt smell at all. The candles are posted in the gallery under "a whole bunch of candles" if you want to see how black they came out...
