OPTIPHEN in emulsified sugar scrub?

Has anyone ever tried using this as a preservative in an emul sugar scrub? I've just started experimenting with recipes and have been using LiquaPar but want to try a paraben free system. It says it can be used in oil formulations, just wondering if anyone has tried it?

Thanks for the replies. I guess I'll go ahead and order some and hope it doesn't smell too bad. I'm already dealing with some funky smelling emulsifying conditioner and wondering if it's supposed to smell that way, but that's another thread!

yes...it's very fishy smelling...or at least that's the nice way of putting it...LOL!

i have never had the smell of btms-50 come thru in a finished product...now the optipehn, on the other hand, yes...i can smell that even thru FO's. i just use it my scrubs b/c it's what i have on hand that can be used in anhydrous products.
