ah-soy
Has anyone ever tried using this as a preservative in an emul sugar scrub? I've just started experimenting with recipes and have been using LiquaPar but want to try a paraben free system. It says it can be used in oil formulations, just wondering if anyone has tried it? 3bees~1flower
that is what i use as it can be used in anhydrous and well as hydrous. i quit using it a long time ago in my lotions/creams as i could smell it in the finished product....not cool.... LaVida
OT: I kind of like the scent of it in fresh lotion...I haven't tried it in my sugar scrub yet....
3bees~1flower
really?? i couldn't stand it...each nose is so different, eh?
LaVida
I know. It is very distinct however. It has a very "fresh" scent to me. It does not work well with a lot of fragrances though....

ah-soy
Thanks for the replies. I guess I'll go ahead and order some and hope it doesn't smell too bad. I'm already dealing with some funky smelling emulsifying conditioner and wondering if it's supposed to smell that way, but that's another thread! ExtasyPunq
OT: I kind of like the scent of it in fresh lotion...I haven't tried it in my sugar scrub yet....Me too - I want to buy some just because I liked its smell so much in a lotion I bought. It fades away after a while though
