Sharon in KY
Use to use NG but the last couple I got have changed and I don't like them. Was sent a sniffy and liked it so bought two bottles from ICS/Snowtop's. And I don't like it either. Has anyone bought since ICS took over and compared the two? karen lynn
I detect a cleaner type smell to ST gingerbread cookies, and NG wasn't strong enough..I am on a gingerbread hunt..I have samples of gingerbread coming from The Scent Works,Peaks,Southern Soapers & Pine Meadows..I hope one of them is a good one!! Karen~ I did get samples of Southern Soapers sugar cookies(which is currently being offered as a free sample on the website) & cinnamon sticks..Out of bottle they both smell awesome!Going to mix the two and try for a good snickerdoodle.. Debra Phelps
I think after we are around the scents all the time, our nose changes. I smell chemicals in alot of them now. I don't smell what the customer smells. Gingerbread should be easy to find. BCN had a good one. I always add a buttery scent to it and call it Buttered Gingerbread, or an orange and call it Orange Gingerbread. I never pour it straight. It doesn't smell that good in the jar, but when you burn it, it is better. When I first started pouring, it smelled right. Now all of them smell like chemicals. Kinda hard to test. And you are right, our olfactory senses do become used to smells in about 3 minutes, then your senses just "forget". I can hardly smell any of my oils now, I just get hints of the smell. But people come to my loft and say they can smell my place downstairs, lol.

Sharon in KY
I don't like KY's gingerbread either. Just got the Honey Gingerbread from BW and I like it, Karen I'll send you a sniffie or do you want an oz. to test. It's not a strong gingerbread but a nice spice. karen lynn
Hi Sharon, thank you for the offer but I have tested the honey gingerbread and though it smells wonderful I didn't have any luck with the hot throw in my blend as well as Granny's Yummy Pumpkin..Karen~
Sharon in KY
Well crap, now I just got in my WYW Buttery Gingerbread from BCN and it smells different than the one I have had for a few months. The new ones are a light yellow color and not orange like the older one. I understand the color thing but it is just not the same scent. tootie04
I always mixed a little Southern Vanilla (KY) into the gingerbread to tone it down a little. i forgot to mention that. I did 2/3 gingerbread and 1/3 vanilla.tootie
