jaybyrd
Has anyone ever used shea oil as opposed to shea butter? I can see wanting the liquid form for certain reasons, like in a lotion or body milk, but are there any differences in properties? I've noticed it tends to be more expensive. Just curious... beau's mama
I've used it for several months...simply for the convenience (sp?) I don't notice a difference...both are greasy as all get out...but they both absorb quickly.HTH

Christine Flapp
According to the manufacturer, some of the stearic acid is removed from the butter to make the butter a liquid form. I always add a bit of liquid shea to shea butter to soften it when I use the butter straight on the skin because it spreads easier, reduces stretching of the skin. Liquid shea can also be used as any other primo luxury oil in lotions, creams, bath oil sprays, etc. or it can be used alone.
