Candle Makin Momma
how do you smooth out the bottoms of the pillars? I have one that is a little crooked.I had another question but I can't remember :rolleyes2
Beli
You can use a griddle you no longer plan on using (or old one.. that you don't use) or what i do is put a cooking sheet/pizza sheet over the burners, and melt it that way. But be careful of what setting you use it on. I have a electric stove, so this works for me. I wouldn't suggest it if you have a gas stove. perkyaim99
When I had a gas stove I would put a pie tin over the top of my double boiler pan, let the tin warm up and you're ready to level it.

Stella1952
I use anything heated - an empty Presto, pie pan on top of a pan of hot water, etc. I bought a little level to help me keep things straight. HTH
OFCILynn
I have a rough glass cutting board that I use for my slightly uneven palm pillars. I am able to GENTLY rub it across the cutting board and it slightly sands the bottoms even! It works everytime for me! The floors in my workshop are uneven so I need to do this to most of my candles! HTP What I use are like this!http://www.improvementscatalog.com/product/id/101155.do?cm_ven=NEXTAG&cm_cat=2007&cm_ite=222476&code-macs=MP7NEXTAG&code=MP7NEXTAG
