gmp
I am tackling the cute square mason jars using J223. Can anyone give me a starting point for wicking these jars with zinc wicks? I am thinking zinc 51 or zinc 60. Thank you!
Scent Cellar
You should have success with the 51Z.
tonyalkay
51z should work. I used a 51z in Comfort blend/soy combo and it worked with these.
macaroni&cheese
how big or small is the cute mason jar? I've never seen 'em.3-3.75", yep, a 51-32-18Z should do the trick. 4" or larger should be around the 60-44-18Z, but depending on the neck's diameter will determine soot deposits, JMOJ. gmp
Thanks for the feedback, all. I really appreciate the responses.Mac, the square mason jars can be found here if you want to see what they look like: http://candlescience.com/containers/8oz-mason-jar/
TxGirl
I finally tackled that jar using soy and CD12 wicks. The odd (square) shaped jars are not the easiest to wick. I've used J223, but have never used zinc wicks so can't help ya there. Sorry ... Kim
macaroni&cheese
AHHH.. yessir, the 51-32-18 oughta work. Maybe even a 44-32-18Z, if you're not looking for a big flame, depending.J.
gmp
Thank you for the feedback. I appreciate it. I had done some testing with both the 51 and 60 and was torn between both but it sounds like 51 is the better match from everyone's feedback. So, does anyone use the zinc 60 with these jars? Thanks a bunch.
