sunchild
Hi Everyone,I'm really glad I found this board!! I'm still pretty new to candlemaking and learn something new everyday. I have had several requests for a 3 x 9.5" pillar. I have never wicked a pillar taller than 3". I assume with a pillar 9.5" I will have to use the spooled wick? Where do I start with this type wick? I've never used this type of wick before. I am using the KY all natural pillar/votive wax. Any help would be appreciated.Thank you,Andrea
topofmurrayhill
If you already have this pillar wicked properly in a shorter size and have been using wick assemblies, Candlewic will make them for you in any length you like. The price is good but you have to buy 500 (a little less than $30 I think). You could also buy some wick tabs so when you need to cut them down for a shorter pillar you can tab the cut piece and get another useful wick.
