I saw a B & B product that has distilled water in the ingredients but the maker claims that there is no preservative in the product. As soon as you add water it makes your product an EXCELLENT breeding ground for germs.ETA: Even with all oils I still add a preservative. Now, there are some very complex self-preserving systems I have heard of, but they are well-beyond the technical capabilities of the home crafter. (In terms of analysis and testing). Oh, and I just thought of something else.
