Anyone care to petition Candle Science with me?

I would love for them to carry the Golden Brand 474 votive wax. The 416 they carry is a tart wax, not a votive and it doesn't work as a votive wax either. Anyone else share this dream? :highfive:

The info on the GB website implies that 474 is 416 with Universal Soy Additive in it. Why don't you try adding a few percent of that and see how it works for votives.

You are right topofmurrayhill. 474 is 416 with 8% Universal Soy Wax Additive, per thecandlemakersstore. You may need to petition them to carry the soy additive or find another suppiler for that.

Thank you for the info. Unfortunately on top of all else I'm doing I don't feel like having to mix additive as well.

It really would not take much time or effort to put any additives into your wax. After much testing and research, I finally decided to come up with my own blend to get what I wanted.

I haven't tried the 474 but KY Candle has a great tart/votive wax.

Thanks for the info about the universal additive to the 416. I am going to order some and add it to my 416 so I can use my wax I have. I HATE it by itself because it makes a powdery tart after a couple weeks. NOT very attractive.
