teejay
I've had a lot of customer ask for vegan solid perfumes. I use the lipbalm from bittercreek. Is there something I can make on my own? Your help will be appreciated.TIATeeJay
Jadryga
As far as I know the issue is usually only the beeswax, which is the most commonly used, but is animal-derived. Just take any solid perfume/lotion bar/lip balm recipe that strikes your fancy and replace with a plant-derived wax like carnauba, candelila, macadamia, rice bran, soy, etc.Remember to adjust the recipe to suit though, since some waxes like carnauba and macadamia are harder than beeswax so you'll need less, and some like soy are softer, so you'll need more.Of course, make sure your oils are plant-based too. No sense substituting wax and then using emu oil!

Ann M
I have used soy wax successfully and really like the creaminess of it. It does take more than beeswax as it is a bit softer. Give it a try. I bet you will really like it.Ann M
singleyellowrose
You could use Carnuba or Candelilla wax in place of the Beeswax. Both are harder than beeswax, so you would have to adjust your liquid oils. But it can be done.
