becky0404
I know this is going to sound dumb:embarasse Ok...I have only used a 16 oz container and I add 1 oz of FO, which makes it 6% right?I recently purchased a 1/2 oz. sampler of a more concentrated fo (it says to add 3-5%) and my wax (palm) can only hold 6% fo. So, I should add that whole 1/2 oz for a 16 oz candle? How much do I add to make it at 6%?AND, what if I want to try to start testing a 12 oz container. How much fo do I add then? Thanks :embarasse
kandlekrazy
Doesn't sound dumb at all...it's hard to figure these thing out unless you are a math wizzard and a scientist! You would use 3/4 oz (.75) in a 12 oz container to get 6%
ah-soy
I hope this is right...I'm not yet caffeined up sufficiently! Anyway, if your goal is to scent a candle at 6% you take the oz of wax and multiply it by .06 so:16oz wax X .06 FO = .96 oz of FO (I just round this up to 1oz even)12oz wax X .06 FO = .72 oz of FO Be advised though that just because the jar is called a 16 oz jar it will not hold 16 oz of wax so first you need to determine how much wax it will hold. I believe there is a forumla in the menu bar to the left either under the General Information or Basic Instructions.
