Jadryga, I've had the same chain of thought! I've had real success making my own vanilla extract by letting vanilla beans soak in vodka for 5-6 months, and I've been wondering if almond extract could be done the same way - messier, I suppose, since they'd need to be pulverized. But if it is possible, cocoa and coffee probably would work too.

I guess if it didn't work as an extract, we could always drink it. ;)
