Wick'n'Wax
HiyaI'm trying a cane and want to use 1/2oz micro hard to 1lb of wax. so....... if I'm using 20oz of wax how much micro is that?I'm getting so flustered, kids won't be quiet and my heads buzzing. I'm getting it to be 1oz but I know thats not right.I've arranged all my embeds in the mould and forgot to weigh the water to see how much wax I need THe calculators coming out at 32oz! Its 4 1/2inch by 4 1/2inch round.I'm going for a long walk first
cybersix
ops... I read 20 lbnever mind!!1/2 oz pp should be 3% by weight. If you have 20 oz total the 3% would be 20x0.03=0.6 oz.
pinetreecandles
your looking at about .625 oz or roughly 17.72 grams or 3/5 oz. Those are as close as I can get. If you have a scale that does grams, that would be the closest.HTH
Wick'n'Wax
omg! why didn't I think of percentages? I'm in the kitchen added 1/2oz to 1/8 oz, jeez!I tipped the lot out of the mould, weighed the water which is 24oz, making 21oz of wax, so was roughly right with 20.soooooooo 10% of 21oz is 2.1oz, divided by 10, x 3 = 0.63oz of microhard thanks your a star xx
