Rob
I can't remember, I know someone posted their recipe for the bath bombs they made using a butter that became hard again at room temp. Does anyone remember that thread? I wanted to give this a whirl.
Meridith
Rob, I put mango butter with a soft oil, usually cherry kernel in my bath bombs and they harden up great. If you have some mango, try it out. I use 2-3 TBS of mango butter in my recipe which makes about 6 5 oz balls.
sudsy
I make mine that way all the time, only using hard oils/butters. Just melt them and use in place of your oils in the recipe you have.

asheebeans
For those of you who do use the butters as part of your recipe (namely mango because that is what I was going to try), do you get an oil slick in your tub or any kind of sludge from the butter? I want to incorporate some mango into my recipe but not if it is going to make the tub slimey! Thanks in advance and sorry for the hijack!! :embarasse

I mix butters w/ oils & butters & butters etc...depending on the type of bomb I make. I am a bomb addict and I just wash the tub as normal..I think if you use any oils/butters in your bath you have to becareful due to more residue build up. asheebeans
Thanks! I'm definitely looking forward to trying BB's with some butters added in!
CareBear
With cocoa butter I actually get little floating islands. I much prefer mango butter which doesn't seem to do that to me. Or shea perhaps - haven't tried that yet.
firegirl
I keep reading that hard butters and 1/2 kaolin clay along with the other half of cornstarch makes rock hard bb.. I am just waiting on ingredients to try this out..
smaddox
I use shea butter, mango and soft oil. I don't use enough to get a sludge on the tub.
