  1. My recipe is somewhat similar, except I don't use cornstarch. Thanks for posting the idea about brushing the molds with cornstarch. I used spray oil on the molds and sometimes the bomb would not release. I will definately try the cornstarch on the molds.
  2. Where are you located? I know that www.thesynergy.com has great prices. Sheila only sells one kind. Sonya
  3. How is the shower gel from them? Is it nice and thick? Does it turn runny after to fragrance has been added to it? I have heard great reviews on their Tropical Butter which I think I am going to try. But I wanted a shower gel also that does not have any parabens. Thanks, Sonya
  4. Here you go: www.kycandlewaxsupply.com , they are in Kentucky.
  5. I use shea butter, mango and soft oil. I don't use enough to get a sludge on the tub.
  6. I would not bother with Joy Wax. They have changed their blend. I had used it for years without any problems. I have nothing but problems with it now. I did buy the improved version of Perfect blend from KY. So far it is very nice. It burns clean and I used zincs for the wicks. I would recommed the Perfect Blend.
  7. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think aquatech-skincare.com has paraben free bases.
  8. I love your jars, did you buy them locally?
  9. How pretty, the redish/pinkish and white looks like a smoothie. Thanks for posting the pictures.
  10. I ordered a slab of the improved perfect blend. I will let you know how it turns out. Thanks for all of the suggestions. Sonya
  11. I think I am going to try the para/soy container. I do have some of the para/soy that I used for some tarts and they were awesome. Thanks alot.
  12. I am so ticked off. I have been using Joywax for a while, I had bought several cases because I did fundraisers. Well I just bought a new case, and it STINKS!!! I am so mad, it cracks, won't cling to the jars and has absolutely no throw. The old Joy wax, I would get major throw from. I called them and they suggested that I add 1 oz crisco to the wax per pound. I am very disappointed in them; That said, Kycandle supply is close to me. What is your experience with their perfect blend or their para/soy blend? I have been looking at Just Scent Para/Soy blend as well. Would love to know your thoughts. Sonya
  13. You did everything right. What I would suggest is trying to go in through the back door so to speak. Don't try to do it for the entire school, but try the cheerleaders, soccer team... That is how I got in through the school was through the cheerleaders. If your girls are involved in any extra activities, try that avenue. Hold your head up, it can be hard to get into the school system. Sonya
  14. I hate to say this, put run, run far away for DIYestores. I was not impressed with their unprofesstional attitiude. After she got my money from my credit card, I had to constantly keep emailing her to find out about my customized template. After becoming frustrated with not hearing from her, I sent an email telling her that I wanted to cancel my account. She never emailed back to apologize for the delay, to see if there was anything she could do for me. Sorry, but I am in business and in no way would I ever treat my customers the way she treated me. Maybe she has too much on her plate, but if you lack good customer service, your business is headed for a down fall.
