candlelady
Hi!I am making palm wax pillars with wax from JBN and their instructions says to let the pillar completely cool THEN poke holes for the 2nd pour. I'm doing this, but it's so darn hard to get the relief holes since the wax has completely set. Why with palm wax do you not poke relief holes during the "setting up" stage like you would with paraffin wax pillars? Just curious......Any assistance would help greatly! Thanks! Stella1952
We use JBN's product and when we poke holes, we do it as the candle sets up. Too much poking, however, removes a LOT of material from the candle, so we try not to go overboard. We found it really helps to tap the bottom of the mold on the counter sharply a few times to help release the air bubbles as the candle is setting up.
