candlelover
Hello! Somewhat new to candle making (8 months), and have tested, tested, tested. This is strictly a hobby for me, but I would like to ask fellow candle makers out there a ? about wicking. I am currently using a soy mix of Eco-soya CB Advanced at 80% and Pure soy at 20% in a 16 ounce apothecary jar. I am also using 2 RRD 34 wicks....however, the flame seems to be very small, and little throw. Is this simply a case of wicking up to RRD37's or would you recommend another solution? Greatly appreciate any help from those more experienced than I. TIA
flightoffancy
I use straight cb advanced and am able to single wick most of my scents in the 16 oz apothecary jars with an HTP 1312. For the heavier oils I double wick with 2 HTP 104s.Not sure what the equivalent RRD's would be though so maybe someone else will come along who does.
