Container candle curing question.

Recommended Posts

I usually let my candle set over night to completely cool before placing a lid on it. I don't want it covered while it's cooling because it causes funny lumps and pits. But then, yes...I do keep it covered after that. Others may have a different technique.

Same here. No lid until 24 hours after pour. Until then, the candles stay covered with a big box for even, slow, draft-free cooling. Then on with the lids and into the box with the others to be stored. After 4-7 days, I start testing for throw, wicking, etc.
