type fragrances

Okay, I know this is a topic that is revisted too much sometimes, but...I was looking at the candles on BBW site and very few of the scents actually say the are trademarked or copyrighted or registered. so, if say the scent is mango mandarin, do we have to put type after it when it doesn't appear to be trademarked or copyrighted or registered by BBW? If you look, sweet pea & warm vanilla sugar appear to be registered but not mango mandarin or japanese cherry blossom.

Sorry if this appears stupid, but when I noticed that only somethings had marks next to the scents I started wondering.

TIA

I have a follow up question on this, that I cannot find the answer on.

I *thought* that if you are using (for instance) Pink Sugar, then you must call it Pink Sugar because it is a trademarked fragrance.

I came across a company selling their stuff at a hair salon I went to, and they named it something else. But, the fragrance was distinctively Pink Sugar.

I don't really care what they are doing, because I'm not responsible for them, but I would like to know if *I* can change the name then?
