Wicking problems 12 oz vase jar

Hi,

Does anyone use the 12 oz vase jar (or morgan jar)? I'm having a heck of a time wicking it. I am using ezsoy/J223 (75/25), BC summer citrus. Have tried LX22 and CD22 (wouldn't melt to edges), CD 8 x 2 (better mp but flame looks like it's trying to die out. This is the first time I have tried wicking this jar, any help would be much appreciated!

We've had success with 2 echo 6 or 2 htp 73 using a para/veggie blend wax. We haven't been able to get it single wicked to our satisfaction.

Thanks for the reply Kaytee. I have some eco 6 from a sample pack that I have not tried yet. I seem to have a knack for picking jars that are hard to wick!

Wishing you good luck! I'll tell you, these jars were a real pain at first trying to get wicked, but after you get an idea of what'll work in them (according to the wax) they really are a great jar. Right now we are testing a different wax in them ... 80/20 para/soy (80 being para...) and it looks like 2-LX 14's are going to work nicely ..we're having a small amount of hang up at first but that's ok cause it catches up as the candle burns down to the narrower part of the jar with out making the jar to hot. Anyway, let me know what wicks you finally decide on.

I tried that jar when I was using the 4630, never could get it wicked right. I was trying LXs, and they didnt work well for me. Have you tried double wicking? I think that was the only way I got a full melt pool without it being a torch.
