Please walk newbie through what melt pool is.

Testing votives and I'm not quite sure I understand what to look for as far as melt pool. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Melt pool is the diameter and depth of the melted wax. For a votive, you want the thing to melt entirely and the tighter the fit of the candle in the glass helps with how long the votive burns. The top of the votive will eventually overflow into the glass.
