B&L
Does anybody know why when my soy sets up in a container,a small portion of the wax pulls up away from the wick and also does not cure level ; it cures with a slight dip in the center ? SherriLynn
I've found those dips in my soy candles, when I've poured too cool... Alot of people smooth them off with a quick zap of a heat gun.
cjackson35
i get that with some fo's in soy, not all though. It also depends on how fast the candle cools. If you warm the jar a little first, this may help with the problem. I have also started setting mine in the oven, turned off, after they are poured, and they dont do have as big of holes, the heat gun will clean it up. rainey
Could be an air pocket. If you poke a hole near the wick where the dip is, you might find an air pocket.
Stella1952
Some soy waxes contract more than do others... if it is objectionable, you could do a second pour.
SpaceGirl
In my experience, the smaller diameter the container the worse the problem is. I've just started pouring shallow tins about a month ago and they never have that problem... they have a much wider "mouth."
