I made some vanilla bean noel tarts last night and they have no cold throw I was wondering if that scent doesn't have a good throw or do you have to add more fo to the wax? I am using eco soy for tarts and 1 oz of fo pp of wax

i add more than 1 oz per pound of wax. you might have candle nose too.

I was told by the company I buy my ecosoy 135 from that vanilla does not throw very strong in it. You have to mix it with something like vanilla hazelnut.

Try French Vanilla Supreme from Save on Scents. It's really strong and wonderful! My daughter is 6 and guesses the scents and she was right about this one, too. Good cold throw, too.

It could be a few things. Quality of FO, cure time, or it didn't incorporate well enough into the wax. Last fall I poured a larger order of VBN and I swore you couldn't smell it, until I took one of the jars to a different location, and it smelled great--I had serious candle nose, and for some reason, that's the one scent that I can't even get a small whiff of when I have candle nose.
