southerncandles
I live in Louisiana an it is humid down here my mp soap is not wanting to cure. Can I put in the oven an if for how long and what will it do? Just wondering it is weeping just enough that I can not package it.Any help would be aprreciatedThankJamie
prairieannie
I wouldn't put it in the oven. Take a papertowel and wipe it off before you package it. I've heard that getting it packaged immediately is important when it's humid. I live in air so dry it might as well be a desert, so I've not had to deal with it much, but the two things I hear the humidity people say are wipe it immediately and package immediately! Try it and see if it works! Good Luck
southerncandles
Southern Louisiana so humid you could take a shower outside sometimes. I will try. I am having to rebatch anyway I have a funky layer of white stuff on the top of mine. ThankJamie
Luci
I have to shrink wrap my m&p immediately after I unmold. The SFIC isn't as bad as some of the others, but I am now in the habit of wrapping quickly. I am between the ocean and the intracoastal waterway. Very wet, muggy air. Cindy/WI
That's all I use and it works fine. HTH
sockmonkey
I would never put it in the oven--heat will only make it melt. I've never tried this, but I've seen suggestions to put it in the freezer for a short time.
jbren
Lay it on some paper towel when you take it out of the mold..spritz with some rubbing alcohol, let it air dry (maybe under a ceiling fan) and wrap it immediately when it dries. Noodle
Just wrap it immedietly after you unmold it. Do NOT put it in the oven. It also sweats more in the freezer. What base are you using?
