CareBear
I added a total of 2 tablespoons oils/butters to my MP soap - just playing around - but the oil is not staying mixed in. I stir and stir, but when I stop I can see it separating out. What gives? What do I do to keep it in?

prairieannie
Firstly, I never melt my oils and butters seperately for my MP.. just a quick trick that works for me.. I have a seperate Presto pot that I use for MP soap. Everything gets tossed in the pot together and melted together! You don't have to do this, but it saves a few steps! Secondly, just stir the hell out of it, and go ahead and pour it in your mold. I bet ya anything it will soak right back into the soap and you won't even notice a separation. But if you do, the more than likely culprit is your OO. Where you are using such a teensy amount of it, I'm guessing it will be fine. I wouldn't use anymore OO than what you have though. IT's seriously one that doesn't mix well in MP, but when it does, it slowly incorporates.. it's a strange one.
CareBear
Thanks PA. I left it in my pot overnight and there is oil on the top so I'm gonna try adding a bit of colloidal oatmeal to see if that will bind it. Otherwise I guess I'll just add more soap!
