MaryAnnKacz
I made tarts with Ezsoy using 1.5 FO per lb and 1.25 per lb. They smell great, but only for a few hours. Then they lose scent. I am using a t-light tart burner, which may be burning too hot. Do you use 1 oz per lb in your tarts and still get good throw? I don't know if my problem is too much FO or the burner itself. I have bought tarts, and the scent has lasted much longer, at least a few days. Any suggestions, especially if you use the t-light burners? LindaColo
Some fragrance oils just don't last as long as others. For example, vanilla pear lasts a long time for me, but wild cherry only lasts a few hours. Also, how long do you let your soy wax cure? If you melt your tart right away, it won't have the same throw as if you waited a week.
Tizimarezie
If you're burning too hot, the scent won't last very long. Also, as LindaColo suggested, you get a much better hot throw when you cure for a couple of days (at least). I use EZsoy, also.
MaryAnnKacz
These have cured for about a month. I used BCN Spiced Cranberry and Autumn Spice. I think the burner is a big part of it.
