Crafty1
does anyone add any type of clay to their soaps? if so, does it give the soap a great feel?
mountainmadness
Clay is awesome to use in soap. I have used green French clay, red clay, white clay, etc. Some people swirl it for color, some make a solid bar. It does give the soap a slippery feel... Everyone has their perferences but I use clay in my shaving soaps. It provides slip for the razor and acts as a barrier between the blade and the skin.It seems that soaps dry quicker with the clay too. Probably because clay is a water absorber.HTH. Lorrie
I use Australian clays. I love the way that they feel in soaps. I like the alot better than ultramarines. Just don't feel the same but maybe that is me. Remember if you are going to use them they will draw moisture out. So don't discount water until you are used to them and see how they preform.
