Jooniper
I have been making soy candles for awhile and have gone to the "other" side and trying out some parrafin. Since the pouring temp is much higher than a soy wax, I am finding wicks do not stay put!! Any suggestions? I use wick stickums and almost every one of them has dislodged and started floating. I anchored some wicks at the tops of the containers but know they are not stuck on the bottom. What should I do? I have a glue gun and thought about using it. airforcewife
I use a glue gun to keep my wicks in my jars I find it is easier than using the wick stickems I also use a bic pen that I took apart so that I could put my wick in the jar. I works really good.
Georgia
How hot are you pouring? I know it doesn't need to be slushy, like soy, but paraffin doesn't need to be so hot that the stick 'ems come loose. When I used J223, I poured around 160* What wax are you using? Candlebuddy
I adhere my wicks with silicone. You can get it in the hardware dept. at Walmart for $2-$3 per tube.
