Robin29
How high does the FP of FO need to be for safe use in an oil warmer?
prcandles
I am not sure if I understand. Do you want to just use the FO or are you putting it in wax? I wish I could help.

prcandles
I am really pretty sure that you are going to need to use potpouri oils for the oil burners. The oils that are sold for them are usually cut with something. The FO's have different flash points and you would need to talk to the supplier to find out each one. Robin29
I know all the flash points of my oils, it is listed on the label. I read somewhere that if the FP is high enough then you do not need to cut it with anyting. However, I do not know how true that is.Also, I would like to know what to cut it with...DPG? David Fields
Flash point is the temperature point at which the FO can ignite if a flame or spark is brought next to it. Wax has a flash point. FO's in oil burners are OK without cutting. Just keep flame away from the hot bowl. Keep them away from pets and children who might knock them over. The flame on the T-lite can then ignite the FO when spilled.MIGHT IGNIGHT. HTH
Robin29
keep the flame away from the hot bowl? The flame goes under the bowl to warm the oil...
barbaranj
keep the flame away from the hot bowl? The flame goes under the bowl to warm the oil...I think what David was trying to say was just be careful with any flame, lit match, etc. if it is near the FO. blazerina
Sooo... technically one could use straight fo in a tin or jar on an electric candle warmer....right?? Like essential oils are used in aromatherapy. How about cutting this with water... that would create a steam that would travel pretty well and cary scent? Or- am I totally pulling this out of... well yanno. Lol.
