cjrhsk
If I make Christmas holiday scented candles and don't use all of them, will they keep till next year? If so, how do you store them?
The_Dallas_Texas_Dean
Sure they will!I just keep mine sealed and in a cool, dark place with no challenges.I think that fragrance oil "keeps" better IN the candles as opposed to not being in the candles. TxSioux
I've burned candles, that didn't sell, well after a yr of making them & (in soy) they were far better than when I 1st made them. Soy seems to better w/ age. I did have those candles stored in a glass container & have heard certain plastics will pull the fo out of them, so watch out for that -- Susan. cjrhsk
Thanks for the info. Now I won't feel guilty about making too many.
Crafty1_AJ
I've had some candles for a year or more and they are fine.
tamsoycandles
I've got some year old candles right now. They're the best performing candles I have right now.
TxSioux
BTW -- your color probably won't hold up too well w/ age. I haven't used many different kinds of dye & don't use UV additive, so I'm far from a color expert. Since you said they were Christmas candles, made me think red or green & I'd guess you'll have fading & frosting depending on how they're stored & the temp changes they go through. But -- they should smell great!!Susan.
