kalamazoo
I am hoping that I can get some answers to some questions regarding wax melts/tarts. 1) I use a straight paraffin and am wondering if I need to add STEARIN to the wax formula for a wax melt. 2)Do you need to wait a couple of days or more before burning them? 3)What packaging is best to use - I have small cello bags which are great, but how are customers supposed to smell the contents? i.e. do I need to put a couple of air holes in the bag or is it better to have a bag that a customer can open and sniff the wax melt. Sorry so many questions, but really appreciate any answers you can give.:smiley2: Thanks.
eugenia
Add the stearic to help FO retention and add as much FO as you can (to 8% for longer lasting). The cello bags are fine; I don't poke holes and yes, like a candle they will smell more after a few days cure.HTH,e

sharyl55
You could have a few unwrapped wax melts for your customers to smell.
