md vs hd

Ok, I think I have the right forum now, lol. I use md gel in a few of my pies. I was wondering if the hd would be 'stiffer' to the touch. I ship alot of these & am always afraid the gel will stick to packaging.

I can see where that might work, but these pies are going into stores, so I can't cover the top up. I shrink wrap them, then tie with wraphia, which works in most cases. Sometimes the filling of the pie gets a little tall, that's when the wrap actually comes in contact with the wrap. I might try to buy a small amount of the HD just to try. No since using it if it isn't much different. Thanks
