myrnamp
I am trying to make container candles. i am using IGI 4630 wax. My question is, at what temperature do i pour my fragrance and how long to keep stirring fragrance before pouring in my container? I dont want my fragrance to burn off. I am new at this as you can tell. lol. any suggestion please.
Terrie
With nearly all waxes, I add my FO around 175. If it is a heavier FO, like a strong cinnamon based fragrance, I'll add it at around 180-185. I've never timed how long I stir..maybe 30-45 seconds? Don't worry about your FO burning off. It won't burn off at those temps, and it isn't kept at that temp long enough to worry about anyway. HTH!
