rredd
Hello, I just made my second cane, the outside looks great, the inside is "not" as smooth and shiny. What should I do to make it look better inside? I made a plain shell, for practice, without using an insert or embeds.
chiptooth
Hit it with the heat gun!
rredd
Yeah, I tried my hair dryer, seems like it takes a while. I thought about using a knife thats heated up with my propane torch. Does that sound plausible?
Vicky_CO
You need a good heat gun, hair dryers are worthless they don't get hot enough.

sharyl55
Like I said a couple of days ago, use a butter knife or something similar to smooth out the insides after you pour out the wax then hit it lightly with the heat gun. You need to do the smoothing while the wax is still warm. Hair dryer won't cut it. WalMart has them for around $20 or use a Michaels coupon and get an embossing tool - its like a small heat gun.
