Dianeb
3" x 6" I tried my hand at pillars, they look really good on the outside. But, I cut one in half and much to my suprise I had a large air pocket. I brought my temp to 180, stired slowly, poured at 165, ( held 1oz back to do my 2nd pour with ) I let it cool for 1 hr and 1/2 poked 4 relief holes around the wick, did the 2nd pour at 175, I also tape the sides of the mold to help release the air. So what am I doing wrong. PLEASE HELP, Any feed back would be appreicated I use KY Votive/Pillar

Lorrie
I might be wrong but is there anyway possible that you poured too fast? When I pour my pillars I try to pour them slowly and after I am down pouring I gently tap the mold to release any air pockets. HTH

Dianeb
I am pouring slow, Laura, are you saying like when it's just starting to harden, like within the first 1/2 hr or so? I think I know what your saying, I never timed it when the skim starts to form on top. I will give it a try, I know something has to work. Thanks a heap to both lorrie & laura
