SoyKandles
I've been shrink wrapping my votives & tarts with a PVC tube shrink wrap. I have some that have been around for a long time and the PVC material has deteriorated and become soft and rubbery feeling and appears to have soaked up the fragrance oil. It has turned a yellowish or tan color. So I'm wondering if I am using the wrong material for shrink wrapping. I've been told that it's a 100 gauge (by another shrink wrap company), so it's pretty stiff. So, am I using the wrong stuff?? I hope someone can help me out here! Thanks! JoyD
Best bet for wrapping scented items is Polyolefin.JoyD
SoyKandles
Joy,Does the Polyolefin let too much of the votive & tart scent escape? I have some polyolefin for soaps, but I wasn't sure if I wanted to try this for candles. Then if you suggested polyolefin for scented items, it won't suck out the scent like a "baggie" would? Thanks for your help!!Susan

JoyD
It won't suck any fragrance out. I have some 4 year old soap that's as fragrant and the day I wrapped it. JoyD
