hornermomof3
Help please! I just poured 5 candles and have a crack around my wic. Im using cargill c-4 wax. And tried my first batch with a soy additive. Without the additive I was getting a rough top and a big circle crack on top. I poured at 115 b/c thats what the package says for the additive. I poured slow as I always do.It also say you can go down to 95 so I will go try that next. Thanks:D
jillgunter
I dont know anything about that wax, but maybe its cooling to fast. I have had small containers that will get cracks or air bubbles from cooling to fast. Good luck. May want to post on soy board to if thats a soy wax. Guest amynleebishop
I have never used that wax b4 either but are you letting them cure under a box or someplace that is warm? Most waxs that cure too fast or if the air temp is too cold will crack. Try warming your jars first b4 pouring also.
