savedbygrace06
I am afraid that I may have been figuring wrong on my pricing calculations all these years for my container candles and was wondering how others figure their pricing. I know the rule of thumb is usually 2X cost for wholesale and 3-4X times cost for retail. The question is, how do you figure your cost? Also, do you charge double, triple or quadruple your cost on the containers that you use? And then again, do you include your shipping charges on your supplies in your cost?I used to make apothecary jar candles and but I must have been cutting myself short on them because I just can't seem to get the pricing to come out reasonably now. These types of jars are my favorites and my customers really liked them as well, however now I just can't seem to justify the price I would have to sell them at. I also want to get into wholesale more but I don't want to cut myself short on that either.Any and all help on this is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
