Joni
Hi, I bought some really cute Wilton Candy Molds today to use for tarts but I have no idea what would be a good temperature to pour the wax to ensure the molds dont warp. Anyone here use these before? Any advice you could give on using them?
Trae
If you use a presto pot to melt your wax, keep it at the warm setting. When I keep it there it's the perfect temp for pouring. The wax should start clouding over and setting up almost right after you pour into the molds. I use a dixie cup bent to a point to pour into them. Have fun! Joni
unfortunately I am not advanced enough yet to have a presto pot, I use the regular double boiler on the stove. The dixie cup idea sounds good! Thanks
Candle Man
I would not pour above 170*F.
