The Soap Diva
Can anyone tell me if this is a do or a don't? I think just the tiniest amount would make an awesome lip balm. But won't do it until I get some more professional opinions. I did not recieve an info with my crystals when I bought them, so unsure of any warnings that might go along with their use. Thanks! sandyrose
Not sure, but I'd be interested in the answers. I never thought of using menthol since a little bit of peppermint essential oil seems to give a nice cool burst.
Candle Man
Not sure, but I'd be interested in the answers. I never thought of using menthol since a little bit of peppermint essential oil seems to give a nice cool burst. If you read the link I posted above it says...Menthol is the chief constituent of peppermint oil and is responsible for its odor and taste and the "cooling sensation" when applied to the skin and mucosal surfaces. So I would guess that Menthol is just a higher contration of peppermint in a crystal form.
The Soap Diva
This is very interesting material to read, thanks for the link. I'm still un-decided though. I think I would test it myself in a very small batch first. Then if my lips burn away I'll know this isn't a good thing! Thanks again for the link! CountryGal
if you decide to test it, please let us know what happens! I have some mc at home that I am dying to play with but am a little afraid of them.
The Soap Diva
I made some great foot fizzie already, added some tea-tree and peppermint EO along with the MC's..I used a normal bath bomb recipe plus some epsom salts. Super fizz! They are wonderful.
candlemakingkid
I have had the honor of testing or receiving some of soap diva's products. If she says it was wonderful, I am sure it was even better than that. Chris

The Soap Diva
OK, made a small batch to test this morning. I only added 1/8 t. of the menthol crystals. Very warming on my lips, does not burn at all. Nice menthol flavor and smell. I think this will work fine!
