TxGirl
I've looked all over and can't find the answer. Does anyone know the soy/paraffin percentages of 6006 wax? I'm interested in trying it out, but am curious about it's properties and what to expect from it. I've already been mixing wax myself, so I can get an idea if I know the percentages. Thanks! TxGirl
if no one has any idea, then maybe give me a comparison on characteristics perhaps? :undecided Does it act more like a 50/50 blend, or 70/30, etc? Does it seem there is more soy than paraffin or vice versa? I've worked with 50/50, soy70/paraffin30, and soy90/paraffin10. If I can get an idea of it's characteristics then maybe that will tell me something. Thanks!
bugtussle
6006 is around 20% soy. I always thought it was 30% but the last word was 20%. It is an excellent blend.
TxGirl
Thank you very much! Is it very greasy feeling since it's a paraffin base? I imagine scent throw would be better than average then too? Thanks again for your reply.
bugtussle
Yes, it's like butter. Very easy to handle & cut. It has a fabulous scent throw- hot & cold.
Brenda (OH)
I noticed during testing although it is mainly paraffin I got sink holes in containers that are taller than the the diameter. Kinda a PITA for me. :undecided
