barncat
I am looking for a wax that is at least 50% soy to do intricately carved intitals in pillar candles. The company uses 3% fragrance load and a cotton wick.
Fern
I suppose if you are just using the wax to make a standard pillar and then carving initials into them you could use any soy pillar wax. KY Candle Wax Supply has a soy pillar wax that you could use. I don't know off hand what the fo load capability of this wax is, so you would have to go visit their website to find that out. Candle Man
A lot of soy pillar wax is harded & more brittle than paraffin and might not work even for that type of carving. You might blend soy & paraffin pillar wax, that could make it work for your purpose.
Fern
Candleman: KY's soy pillar wax is actually quite soft...I used it before a couple of years ago. It would be incredibly easy to carve into. It's not like the other veggie waxes (F, G and PQ) which are hard, brittle and chip easily.
