Lx wick question

I think I read that inside the LX wick is a flat braid wicking, if this true, how do I find out which one would have a 27 or 30 ply in them??

From your question it seems like you are trying to find the equivalent of an LX for a flat ply? Well, many wicks are "flat ply" - but they have different threads put into them that make them different - in the case of LXs the larger ones also have a chemical treatment - so you just can't say "A = B". I would give myself an estimate by looking at the ROC and pool diameter and go from there. (You can't apply one to the other perfectly however - too many variables in their testing -- that you won't know about -- and yours).

Maybe someone has compared them directly in a wax and can answer better.
