Maryann, the flashpoints don't mean anything once they're in an application. The flashpoint is simply a number at which the FO will ignite on its own.

Scented, I understand what you're saying, but I hope you don't mind me clarifying it because I don't want people to be confused.

FO's are combustible liquids that give off vapors. As the temperature rises, more vapor is given off. The flashpoint is the lowest temperature at which a combustible solid or liquid will give off enough vapor to produce an ignitable air-vapor mix. This air-vapor mix can be ignited by flames, sparks, or potentially by high-heat sources.
