candledog
So, today I'm going through some of my 'bum' tests and the C3 seems to have caught up on hot scent throw after 1 month of curing. What are some other opinions on the hot throw of c3 naturewax vs pure soy? I have learned to deal with the pure soy appearance issues for the hot throw rewards, is it just that C3 takes a long time to cure, interested in others experience with this one. islandgirl
Personally, I have found that mixing the 2 gives you the best of both worlds..HTH:grin2:
candledog
So, considering that C3 is a hot pour wax, and pure soy should be poured cold, what temp do you recommend pouring at for testing?
islandgirl
I pour at around 160-170. I am still able to pour hot.. I don't have to wait till the slushy stage!!! Whaahoo!!!!I do not dye my candles, so I do not have the frosting issues... But when I testing the mix.. I did fool around with dye and it does make a nicer candle than straight soy. (less frosting)I also found that by mixing, I can get a great hot throw in 48 hours.Cold throw is also great.. Start at 50/50 and fool around with the combination and see what works for you.. I help this helps you out a bit...:smiley2:
