Eco's are dipped in soy and sold at Lonestar- I don't think many people use them on this forum, but it is all I use and works great for me. They are paper core so they heat up nice too.

I actually went back over all of my pure c-3's and have found that when my wick was not large enough / thus didn't heat up the wax enough, I did get these bubbles with my cherry, could this be the problem?

I always go with eco's, they are available from lonestar and they are great perfomers for a great melt pool and throw, I've used them in 8 oz masons, try the 8 or 10's.

I have never had that happen to my c3 use containers, they turn out really nice and smooth and burn the same, how long do you all mix in the scent for, do you whip it or something? I pour my c3 way hot, are you pouring it cooler?

I might be doing something wrong, but my bw/415 testing went like crap. The tops looked bad even after cooling and looked like a mottled brain after burning, i also didn't notice it helping throw or much of anything, (and I REALLY wanted it to, as I have tons of bw)... I tried pouring cold/hot, etc.... just didn't work for me, hope if you test geek you get better results, I will leave the bw work to the pros!

If you're a c3 user currently, you could mix a percentage of that with the 415, smooths out them tops so you can pour hot and shortens cure time, best of both, great throw too, just a thought, have tested it and it works for me pretty good, pour above 150 and it's nice and smooth, only a few shots from the heat gun needed, (about 1/ 10 candles) and even then it's not bad.

Peaks Cappuchino Hazelnut is STRONG fills the house kindof strong, 10 pots of coffee brewing kindof a strong... so you may not need to go to 1oz/ lb withthat one with c3- just a thought, post an update on the ones you tried, my peaks sampler goes like this for fall- blueberry muffins mac apple apple jack n peel warm apple pie cappuchino hazelnut spruce tree home for the holidays amish harvest sugar plum berries gingerbread cookies sweet pumpkin spice. So far I have lit blue/muffins and capp hazelnut and both are throwing great! I will keep you updated on the rest, if you do the same, thanks and good luck to us all with our fall line testing! ps. anyone know a good candy corn? disp. from lonestars- might try natures garden if they have one.

I use the 464 and really like it a lot, nice burn, easy wicking and good throw.

have used the c-3 and it NEEDS to be poured very hot, have found that the eco 12 wicks work extremely well with that wax in 16oz masons, but you do have to wick up to a 14 for heavier scents. Tried lonestar scents, was not really impressed, and I used at 10%..... and got leakage. The summer creamsicle threw very well, cherry not at all, mulled cider, kindof, I would try another scent company, as the c3 should be throwing well with the right wick, scent and cure time.

Try one eco 14, I've found that this wick doesn't smoke for me, but I don't use your wax....

They got some really nice thick tumblers much like chris's at Walmart, they sell them as Vases, they are square that tapers to the top, but are really thick, and only a dollar or two, but big, like 24 oz... I put 4 wicks in and the marble would look great with that, I will post a pic of the container If I can find one laying around.

I'm assuming this is with pouring cold/slushy, as i stupidly tried it pouring hot, and, alas, I got a colored candle.

Are they silver? If so I age my silver stuff by primer spraying it and then sponge painting randomly with a shiney silver, ends up looking like old zinc, a lot of work, but my money at this point is shorter than my time.... Otherwise to age my other stuff, i use a 'cocoa bean' acrilyc paint available at ace hardware stores, really water it down, brush it over the thing to be aged and then seal it with a spray sealer. Works for me, hope that helps.

I thought that rustics could not be achieved with soy?!? I'm intriged, a 70/30 pillar blend? Tell me more (as my rational mind asks what am I getting myself into now)......Maybe we should all be investers in soy stock, that way our compulsive buying for testing would at least be turning us a profit.

OK, There is not going to be any usefull information in this one, just a little ranting and questioning of my motives. i have been testing for almost 9 months now, and have found a blend of mine that fills 3 rooms and waifs upstairs with the proper scent and wicks, yet, I just ordered SOME MORE WAXES, WICKS AND SCENTS to test, is there a point that one should reach when they just are satisfied? I have made cp soaps for years, and when I got that down, I just kept using the same formulations and presto, new colors and scents, styles, but, the same recipies. Are candlemakers prone to candle madness, can we not ever be good enough, must there always be a greener side of soy that we cannot atain? I see all of the masters on here even testing stilll, is there a 12 step program for all of this, or will an equalibrium ever be met, or is it just the nature of the evil soy beast? sorry, just had to let that out, but, really, any one else do all of this, I should really move on to pillars or something..

Tried the 444 and it seems a lot like natures garden pure soy, if you've used that.

Looking to order a peaks sampler today (or two) to start testing for fall & winter, I did check the F.o sticky thread. but there aren't that many purely fall & Winter Scents- So I was hoping for some suggestions from those that have used some & liked them- Also, has anyone dared to go up to 1.5 oz per lb w/peaks, or is 1oz. enough to do it, I have ordered a couple of their summer scents and they are NICE. Thanks in advance for the help.

What scents are you using, some just don't throw in soy.

Never had the burndt smell personally, that is why I use them, funny how we have all of these different variables which relate to what works for each of us. I will get some small mushrooming on an extra long burn, but I do stick the trim candle sticker on the bottom of the jar, so it's no big deal to just snip it off after an extra long burn, otherwise, they have been what has worked best for me.

I have used soy tarts immediatly after making them, they seem fine, what kind of container, (to store them in?)? I would shrink wrap them or put them in a bag & label it if it is for sale, otherwise, I throw my personals into a nice shabby chic tin for my own smelling pleasure.

Were you a scientist in a past life..... oh, we all are to a point, it is just so nice to see someone's testing go online for us all, Don't use these waxes, but it is so nice to see someone else's experimenting.

have you tried sticking the tart & mold in the freezer for about 10 minutes to get them out? Should work good, just not longer than that or they may crack.
