mbrown
I was just needing some advice on layering colors in CP soap. I have tried this several time and my colors always mix together. Do I need to pour one color on the bottom and let it sit for awhile to get hard? I am afraid to do that becasue the soap it the pot will start to get hard also. :embarasse :embarasse Can I reheat the soap once it starts to cool off in the pot?Could someone please explain to me how to layer my colors in cp soap. It is very easy with mp but a little more challenging for me with cp.
sawyer's moon
Here's what I do...at very thin trace (just barely traced!) set aside what you'll use for layering. Bring the remaining to a fairly thick trace and pour. Go back to your reserved portion, bring to a slighty thicker trace as well and then pour. I haven't had a problem with them mixing when doing it this way.Good luck! Jen

jwahlton
I've done like Jen does and also pour the top layer over a spoon or spatula so it kind of runs down instead of plopping down.
